December 8th! UGLYCON!
At Giant Robot San Francisco.
We've received many emails about Uglycon.
While we try to keep things a surprise, we can say
there will be hand made Uglys, drawings, paintings, prints,
and best of all the limited production Uglycon edition
Ugly. Actually there are three versions!
Each version in an edition of 200, with 180 of each for sale at the show.
And no chance of this one accidentally showing up in stores.
These were made JUST for Uglycon and they won't be sold anywhere else
or made ever again.
Like Sailor Babo last year.
Then there's the COSTUME CONTEST!
What's the prize? It's a surprise!
But the prize has been pictured on this blog before.
Now to address the more recent batch of emails.
The hand mades! Well, this Uglycon we'll have about 20.
I was worried it might be more like 5 so I am 100% relieved.
Whew. Will that number go up next year?
The way our schedule looks, what with our book deadlines
and Mina soon to walk...it will go down.
So we're going to have to think up
other fun stuff to fill that spot!

Awwww...more to miss out on this year, and less to miss out on next year in NYC, the one Uglycon I will actually be able to attend...sniff :(
Ugly collecting and residing on the East Coast is a conundrum indeed...maybe one of this year's exclusives will sneak out of GR and hop a train to Boston with his little hobo stick! :)
I agree... when are you coming to NYC? I hate missing out on exclusives, and other than one pic in Toy Tokyo, I haven't seen proof of yourself and Sun-Min in NYC. =(
Another East Coaster wishes for an Uglycon in NYC. I am totally willing to go to NYC from Baltimore for some Uglyness!
I thought uglycon 3 is at GRNY.
david can you please post how many handmades each person is allowed to buy..i know last year it was two..would it go down to one for this year?
I can't wait to visit and see everyone again. That's my favorite part! I'm going to try and work on a groovy costume for me and the Uglies. They are good voters.
