GIGARAINOS

This, like the black robo from the
previous post, is a robot from
GINGAMAN, the Sentai series from
1998. I finally have a second one
on the way, so out this one comes.
His legs and torso are die cast metal.


I love the packaging. Uh, a smaller
photo of the toy on top of a larger
photo of the toy. This was found
through the all of the DX
Ginga robos.


These guys still had that old Sentai feel,
which, for me, went away with Gaoranger.
Ban Dai produced many great toys since then,
especially with Hurricanger in die cast, etc,
but the sort of BIOMAN, low tech feeling
was no more from then on.
Oh and for the super freaks,
yeah, I didn't apply the stickers over
the metal legs. No way.
I hate stickers. And covering
die cast is a no no.
