Wow, ok well I just got back to
the hotel and my flight from NYC
to Korea is in a few hours, so
I'll wait till I get back before I
post a formal update, but for
now I wanted to say thank you
to every single soul who was
able to brave the cold and
come on out. Please leave
your comments, good and bad
here at this post.
I'll be back on in 2 or 3 days.
It was a much larger turnout
than what we had last year.
This is by brother and sister.
They were able to get a look once the doors closed
for the day.

and everyone who came on down.
Insane evil guy throwing water down
on kids, freezing cold weather,
not enough room for even
half the crowd, and frozen
computers linked to
crashed registers...
but I still saw many smiles
on kids faces and
got to shake hands with
hundreds of the nicest
people you'll ever meet.
Yes indeed that is the 2003
Giant Robot exclusive Orange
ice-Bat. We found one extra
at the office and now he has
a happy new home.

It was such a pleasure meeting you and being able to chat for a few minutes. Our new red-toothed Poe promptly got into an argument with green Poe--one wanted to watch Eragon, the other wanted to watch Dragonheart. Jeero just wanted the remote so he could put on "Reign of Fire."

wow that was annoying when that jerk started cursing at all of us cuz we were blocking the entrance to his apartment, and then he threw water off his balcony. i wonder if the police ever came. also, a bird crapped on my sister :P. but, other than that, it was really fun!
We had a really great time at the Uglycon - and will plan to come back next year! My children all enjoyed meeting you, and seeing your great work. My middle was dressed as Moxy - she really had fun making the costume with her mom. Now she's wondering about when the results for the costume contest will be available ... There were certainly a lot of great Uglies at GRNY that day - it would be hard to choose a winner! We'll keep our fingers crossed. Thanks again for making the day such a dee-light.
This was my first UglyCon, and it was sooo awesome! It was such an honor meeting you, I really had a great time. Sure, there was that moron that dumped water on all of us, but it showed how strong us Otakus are. At first my blue Sleepy Chilly Ice Bat was a little upset that he is no longer the only Sleepy Chilly, but now he and the pink and brown are getting along. Thank you so much for your time and patience. Hope to come back again next year! o_x

This was my first UglyCon and definitely well worth the trip from Houston! It was so great to meet you David, and thank you for being so gracious and for signing my new Poe and Bossy Bear book. Babo really had a great time as well and he and Poe ate all of the snacks from the mini-bar at the hotel... I also think they have planned some sort of attack on the "water-dumper." Happy Holidays!
